The Sound Pressure Level Meter app is a useful tool for detecting and measuring sound levels. This app utilizes the microphone of your device to accurately convert sound into SPL values. Please note that the results provided by this app are for indication purposes only and are dependent on the hardware of your device.

The range of sound levels that can be detected by this app may vary. While some devices may have a range of only 20 dB between the noise floor and saturation, high-end devices can exceed 100 dB.

• Analog Dial with Max and Min indicators
• Weighting options - A, C, or None. A-weighting filters the high and low frequencies to mimic how the human ear perceives sound loudness. Results can be displayed in dB, dBA, or dBC based on the selected weighting.
• Averaging function with Clear and Pause buttons
• Octaves and third octaves - Frequency spectrum analysis of the sound
• Graph display to visualize the time dependence of the sound
• Autoscale or manual (pinch & pan) Y-Axis control
• Relative button - allows for comparison by removing the current averaged value from the reading
• Calibrate option - If you possess a calibrated SPL meter or a known loudness source, you can use this option to calibrate the app. However, please keep in mind that this calibration is also for indication purposes only
